Today I woke up from Death

by: Saptarshi Bhowmick

Today I wake up and

Saw myself in bereavement.

The dearest one lying beside me

With his hand on his heart,

Like it’s a propagation of each other’s Bond.

I told myself not to fear

Because you may lose him,

But he was still with you_

A Yesterday is Today

Till you exists in both,

Tough might the person be different,

Fear not it’s a coincidence of rebirth,

Where you fall and rise

With ablaze wings on this earth,

As a fierce phoenix.

Finally a glare is all you need

To burn all of your anxieties.
